Welcome to the Storyboat!
The Storyboat is a floating theatre as there were in the old days; with red velvet curtains and shiny mahogany walls. The biggest storytelling theatre in The Netherlands. The audience can listen to top storytellers every Thursday night, some Monday nights and Saturday afternoons in the school holidays. And from 5th till the 7th of june Waterfall International Storytelling Festival (download programme above).
In this little theatre, the old craft of storytelling is brought to live again with over sixty performances a year. For those who want to apprehend this craft, we provide an impressive offer of storytelling courses and workshops. Last but not least are we proud of our international artists.
The nostalgic foyer with its hundred year old bar, the deck with view over the medieval canal of Zwolle, are opened an hour in advance of all performances, and ofcourse we stay open for a drink and a chat afer the show! A warm welcome to You!
